Token

The crypto part, explained plainly

The OPEN token provides the economic layer that powers the OpenFund ecosystem. Here's how it works and how to check everything yourself.

This is not an investment offer.

OpenFund makes no promises about the token's price, value or returns. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose everything you put in. Nothing here is financial advice. Check the rules where you live before buying any crypto asset.

What the token is

OPEN is a token on the Solana blockchain, launched on pump.fun. It provides the economic layer that powers OpenFund: trading the token generates fees, and those fees pay for the fund.

The token is not a share in OpenFund, doesn't pay dividends, and doesn't entitle anyone to grants. Holding it won't make your application more likely to be approved.

Where it can be acquired

OPEN launches on pump.fun, and that's where it can be bought and sold. Always check the token address below before you trade. Anyone can create a token with the same name and logo.

How fees are generated

pump.fun charges a fee on every trade, and part of it is paid to the token's creator as creator fees. We set the creator-fee wallet to the OpenFund vault. Those creator fees are what pay for grants.

pump.fun sets the fee rates, not us. There's no extra team fee and no hidden allocation: 100% of the creator fees go to the fund.

How fees reach the fund

We claim the creator fees from pump.fun into the vault ourselves, by hand. Each claim is an on-chain transaction, and it appears on our Fund page as “Protocol fees” with a link to the explorer.

Who controls the vault

The vault is a regular Solana wallet, and the OpenFund team holds its keys. It isn't a multisig or a smart contract. We review applications ourselves and send grant payments out of it manually, in SOL.

That means you're trusting us to use the money as promised. So we make every movement public: anyone can watch the wallet, and every payout on our Fund page is matched to a grant number.

What keeps it honest

Every transfer out of the vault shows up on the Fund page. A payout we've matched to an approved grant is labelled with its grant number. Anything else is labelled “not linked to a grant”, in public, where anyone can ask us about it.

How we show dollar values

The fund holds SOL. To show dollar amounts, each transaction is valued at the SOL price at the moment it happened. For recent ones we use the Pyth SOL/USD price published on Solana, and for older ones Coinbase's one-minute price. The SOL amount is always shown first, because that's what the blockchain records.

Verify it yourself

Don't trust us. Check.

Everything that matters happens on a public blockchain. You can confirm it without an account, a wallet, or this website.

  1. 1

    Copy the vault address

Use the copy button below. Compare it with the address announced on our official channels.

  2. 2

    Open it in Solscan

Click “View fund vault”. You'll see the live balance and every transaction, independently of this website.

  3. 3

    Compare with our Fund page

Each deposit and payout on our Fund page links to the same transaction on the explorer. The numbers should match exactly.

  4. 4

    Check grant payouts

Outgoing transfers are labeled with a grant number once linked. Public recipient profiles show what each grant paid for.

OPEN is a standard pump.fun token, and the vault is a regular wallet. There's no custom OpenFund contract to audit. The main risk is trusting the team that holds the vault's keys, which is why every movement is public.

The token address appears here at launch. Until then, treat any token claiming to be OPEN as fake.
